EGG (English Grammar Game) needs a Google or Microsoft sign-in to start practice. We receive your email address and profile (such as display name) and store learning progress in Firebase Authentication and Firestore for the project configured on this deployment. A copy also stays in this browser (localStorage).

Sign-in uses your email and profile. The header shows that you are signed in. You are signed out after 30 minutes of inactivity. “Export to Google Sheets” on the dashboard is optional. It only asks for permission to files this app creates (drive.file). Existing spreadsheets are not opened.

We may send one welcome email on first registration (Resend). It says the app is free and how to start. We do not send it twice to the same account. If Resend is not configured, we send nothing.

On a successful sign-in we keep your email and display name in Firestore (users) so operators can see usage. Redeploys do not delete this. Operators may also append a row to an admin spreadsheet. Learning progress is also stored in Firestore.

Practice, scoring, and explanations do not use AI. Questions and explanations are stored in CSV files. Operators may use the Gemini API only when adding questions. Admin screens are limited to allowlisted accounts.

To see, correct, or delete your account or stored data, use the contact form or email. We will check it is you and help within reason.
